Oman’s eMushrif Acquires Egyptian Start-up Tareeqi
Oman’s eMushrif Acquires Egyptian Start-up Tareeqi

eMushrif, an Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) start-up based in Oman, has announced the completion of an acquisition deal with Tareeqi, a Cairo-based start-up that develops transportation-tracking software.

The expansion of eMushrif into Egypt is part of the company’s overall growth throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) area. eMushrif hopes to attract additional talent with this expansion as it aims to integrate IoT into people’s daily lives.

Tareeqi is an application used to track schools, universities, and the bus fleets of institutions in the MENA region, without installing any expensive GPS devices. eMushrif has successfully used the Internet of Things to offer solutions for monitoring the safety of youngsters on school buses. The startup has been able to convert traditional school buses to smart and safe school buses using these technologies.
