Omnibiz, a retail-tech startup, has secured a USD 15 Mn pre-Series A round of funding led by Timon Capital to accelerate retailer growth and retention, and boost its revenues. The round was structured as USD 5 Mn equity and USD 10 Mn debt. Ventures Platform, LoftyInc Capital Management, Chapel Hill Denham, Chandaria Capital, and Musha Ventures also participated in the round.
Omnibiz employs an asset-light retail distribution approach. When a retailer places an order through the Omnibiz platform, it is routed to partner distributors, who store things on behalf of manufacturers and are known for their warehousing and transportation services. Retailers can stock up their shops using the company’s mobile apps, WhatsApp channel, or a dedicated care number.
