South African Fintech Peach Payments Acquires Operativa

Peach Payments, a South African fintech company specializing in online and mobile payment solutions, has acquired custom software development firm Operativa. The acquisition will see the entire Operativa team integrated into Peach Payments. Operativa co-founders Dayne Olivier and Ben Janecke will take on Principal Engineer roles. The full acquisition is expected to be completed by August.

The acquisition is expected to enhance Peach Payments’ ability to expand rapidly across Africa by leveraging Operativa’s specialized skills and deep knowledge of the company’s systems. According to Peach Payments CEO Rahul Jain, this is a strategic move aimed at accelerating the development of new products and the onboarding of new merchants and banking partners, reinforcing Peach Payments’ position as a leading payment gateway in Africa. The integration of Operativa’s team will help Peach Payments deliver innovative solutions and expand its market presence.
