Kenyan Startup PBP Secures USD 1.5 Mn In Seed Funding

Kenyan eCommerce startup Powered by People (PBP) has secured USD 1.5 Mn in a seed round led by Matt Kalish of DraftKings, TBD Angels, and impact investors Good+Well. Other angel investors who are affiliates of DraftKings, Uber and Skillz also took part in the round.

PBP offers an eCommerce platform that connects international buyers with producers in the handmade sector, manages their production, and provides access to finance for business growth. The startup plans to use the funding to grow its team, and expand its platform for more retailers.
