Proparco Invests USD 1.2 Mn In Congolese Energy Startup Nuru

Nuru, a Congolese energy startup has secured USD 1.2 Mn investment from french investor, Proparco, to improve access to clean and affordable electricity in the eastern region of the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Established in 2015, Nuru (formerly Kivu Green Energy) specializes in offering reliable and affordable energy to commercial, industrial and household customers in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). It develops and operates urban solar hybrid mini-grids in the eastern part of DRC.
