Egyptian Startup Koinz Raises USD 4.8 Mn In Seed Funding

Egyptian food ordering startup, Koinz, has secured USD 4.8 Mn in a seed round led by Justin Mateen, the founder and former CMO of global dating app, Tinder. Other investors who participated include 4DX Ventures, and angel investors from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Turkey.

Cairo-based Koinz offers a variety of products, such as a consumer app which offers restaurant listings, allowing users to find places to eat and order delivery. The platform, via its rewarding system, enables users to earn loyalty points as they place orders, which can be redeemed at the same restaurant.
