Jua Fund, an African venture capital fund by a private individual, has invested in seven African startups comprising of three companies from Kenya (GrowAgric, Xetova, and Side), two from Nigeria (Whispa Health, and Powerstove Energy), one each from Zimbabwe (Bryt-Knowledge), and Madagascar (Jirogasy). The startups were selected after pitching their ideas at the Kickstarter Olympics, a week-long event.
