Nigerian fintech startup, Flutterwave, has raised USD 170 Mn in a record-breaking series C round led by Tiger Global and Avenir Growth Capital. Other investors who participated include DST Global, Greycroft Capital, Early Capital Berrywood, Green Visor Capital, Insight Ventures, PayPal, Salesforce Ventures, Tiger Management, and WorldpayFIS 9yards Capital. The startup earns a unicorn status with this funding round.

Founded in 2016, Flutterwave provides reliable payment solutions for businesses around the globe, connecting the African continent to the world. The startup plans to use the fund to expand into new markets.
