Savannah Fund has announced the launch of a USD 25 Mn fund to invest in early-stage startups across Africa. The fund is tech-focused and ranges across a number of sectors including Agritech, eCommerce, Edtech, Fintech, Healthcare, Logistics, among others.
Savannah Fund is an Africa-focused tech venture capital firm specializing in USD 50 K – USD 1 Mn investments in early-stage high growth technology startups in sub-Saharan Africa. The investors who took part include International Finance Corporation (IFC) with USD 3 Mn investment, Women’s Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (We-Fi) with USD 500 K. Other investors include Tim Draper of Draper Associates, UMA, a Senegal-based venture studio, and Visa Forsten, co-founder of Supercell.
