SolarX, a West African supplier of renewable energy equipment, has received additional funding of an undisclosed amount from Energy Access Ventures (EAV), an early-stage fund that invests in decentralized energy companies across Sub-Saharan Africa.
SolarX develops, finances, and offers operations and maintenance services to solar assets, focusing on commercial and industrial clients through a leasing model. The startup plans to the latest equity and quasi-equity funding to support a pipeline of projects in Mali and Burkina Faso for commercial and industrial clients.
