South Africa’s Brown & Ayo Receives USD 280 K Investment

Brown and Ayo, a black hair care and lifestyle business based in Cape Town, has received an R4 million (USD 280 K) investment from Enygma Ventures. The investment aligns with the venture capital firm’s continuous aim to help women entrepreneurs in the SADC region.

Brown & Ayo sells natural hair extension products via its online store. The company provides customers with an extensive online marketplace of natural hair extensions created to mimic black natural hair textures. The funding will allow the startup to scale across Africa and internationally.
