The Johannesburg-based Mineworkers Investment Company (MIC) has announced the launch of MIC Khulisani Ventures, a ZAR150 million (USD 10.5 Mn) early-stage investment vehicle targeting black-owned innovative, high-growth businesses in South Africa.
The MIC is a 100% Black-owned Investment Company established in 1995 by the Mineworkers Investment Trust (MIT) to create a sustainable asset base to benefit mine, energy, and construction workers and their dependents. The focus is on innovation, new products and services that disrupt old markets, increase efficiencies or provide creative solutions to current challenges in South Africa.
