Alitheia IDF Announces Final Close Of Fund At USD 100 Mn

Alitheia IDF, one of Africa’s first women-led and women-focused private equity fund, has announced the final close of its USD 100 Mn fund, which it claims is the largest gender-inclusive private equity fund on the continent. The USD 100 Mn close comes after the European Investment Bank (EIB) joined as the closing investor, investing USD 24.6 Mn. 

Alitheia IDF invests in growth-stage companies across six African countries, Nigeria, South Africa, Ghana, Zimbabwe, Lesotho, and Zambia. The fund seeks to plug the over USD 42 Bn investment gap between male and female entrepreneurs as a means of catalyzing the economic power of African women as producers, distributors, and consumers.
