Fintech Company Flutterwave Raises USD 250 Mn Series D Round

Africa-focused fintech firm Flutterwave said on Wednesday it had raised USD 250 Mn in its single-biggest funding round to date, valuing the startup at more than USD 3 Bn, as it targets mergers and acquisitions, and growing its existing customer base.

The latest funding round was led by investors including, B Capital Group, Alta Park Capital, Whale Rock Capital, Lux Capital, Avenir Growth, Tiger Global, Glynn Capital, Green Visor, and Salesforce Ventures. Flutterwave specializes in individual and consumer transfers aiming to facilitate and capitalize on Africa’s booming payments market.
