African Web3 Startup Jambo Secures USD 7.5 Mn Seed Funding

Jambo, a Congo-based startup building Africa’s web3 user acquisition portal through “learn, play, earn” and democratizing access to crypto-based income-generation opportunities, has raised USD 7.5 Mn in seed funding. The round included investors like Delphi Ventures, Coinbase Ventures, Three Arrows Capital, and Alameda Research. Other participants in the seed funding round included Alliance DAO, Tiger Global, DeFiance Capital, Hashed, Polygon Studios, UOB, Signum Capital, BH Digital, and Yield Guild Games, among others.

The startup wants to introduce young Africans to Web 3 financial ecosystems through play-to-earn gaming and decentralized finance (Defi) services including currency exchanges and remittances.
