FrontEnd Ventures Closes USD 1 Mn To Provide Funding For Early-Stage Founders

FrontEnd Ventures, a Kenya-focused venture capital fund has closed its initial USD 1 Mn VC fund to provide funding for early-stage founders in the East African country.  FrontEnd Ventures is backed by a USD 5 Mn fund—likely to extend to USD 10 Mn. The fund is made up of local capital from high-net-worth individuals (HNWIs), institutional funds, and family offices.

FrontEnd is targeting impact-driven tech startups in various industries including agriculture, e-commerce, health, and transport. The fund intends to make five more investments aside from the two startups in its portfolio.
