mPharma Acquires Nigerian Pharmacy Retail Chain HealthPlus

Patient-centered technology-driven healthcare company mPharma has completed its previously announced acquisition of Nigerian pharmacy retail chain HealthPlus Group. mPharma announced that the Ghanaian healthtech company and the London-based private equity firm Alta Semper have signed an agreement leading to the acquisition of a majority stake in the HealthPlus Group.

The acquisition will provide expansion opportunities for mPharma within Nigeria as part of the firm’s expansion plans to strengthen HealthPlus as Nigeria’s leading pharmacy brand as well as a platform to expand mPharma’s Mutti pharmacy retail footprint in Africa through its fast-growing QualityRx program.
