BURN Manufacturing Raises USD 12 M To Expand Distribution

BURN Manufacturing (BURN), a prominent clean cookstove production company based in Kenya, has successfully raised upwards of USD 12 M in carbon financing (PE), with the primary aim of amplifying the distribution of its clean cooking products throughout Africa. The funding, led by Key Carbon Ltd. and backed by Cartesian, will help BURN distribute electric cookstoves in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, and Zambia, and biomass stoves in Nigeria, DRC, Tanzania, and Mozambique over the next couple of years.

BURN Manufacturing is a company founded in 2014 with the mission to reduce emissions from cooking and improve the quality of health and life of vulnerable communities in developing countries. Additionally, the company intends to promote the use of its biomass stoves across Nigeria, Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), Tanzania, and Mozambique within the upcoming two years.
