Egypt’s Online Marketplace Kemitt Raises Funding

Egypt-based online marketplace for furniture Kemitt raised an undisclosed round of funding. Kemitt is an online store that connects furniture designers and consumers while also handling manufacturing, overheads, and last-mile logistics. It has digitized the shopping experience and provides payment and financing plans.

Founded in  2018 by Mahmoud Fouad, Mohamed Rashwan, and Mohamed Hedayat, Kemitt raised a six-figure seed funding round in 2021. With the latest round, the startup plans to expand to Saudi Arabia. Interestingly the startup has not disclosed either the amount or its investors for both the funding rounds.
