Nigerian health tech company Field received USD 11 M in support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, recognising Field’s commitment to introducing emerging therapies and supply chain transformation to combat Africa’s most urgent health priorities.
Founded in 2015 by Michael Moreland, Field is a pharmaceutical supply-chain technology and service company. With the latest round, the startup introduced a route-to-market service aimed at bringing new treatments to address the pressing issues of maternal mortality, newborn and child health, and nutrition. This initiative will utilize Field’s own technology, distribution, and financing services, which currently support a network of over 40,000 private and public healthcare providers in rural and urban areas across Kenya and Nigeria.
Field Intelligence raised its Series A round of USD 3.6 M in 2020 from Blue Haven Initiative, with investors including Newtown Partners via the Imperial Venture Fund and Accion Venture Lab.
