2024 GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Winners Receive USD 166 K

Winners of the GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize Competition 2024, announced at the Africa Food Systems Forum (AFSF) in Rwanda, will receive USD 166 K in prize money.

Fatima El Khou, the Founder, CEO, and Head of Research and Innovation at Jafife in Morocco, and Dr Iddi Mohammed Faried, the Co-founder and CEO of Kodu Technology in Ghana, have been selected as the recipients of USD 50 K each for their pioneering agricultural solutions. Their innovative contributions have been recognized for their potential to positively impact the agricultural sector.

Four exceptional entrepreneurs were honored with a USD 15 K Impact Award for their outstanding contributions to vital areas such as rural livelihoods, technology, job creation, natural resource utilization, climate resilience, nutrition, and youth and women’s empowerment.

In addition, the six finalists who did not win the top prize each received a USD 1 K GoGettaz “Young Catalyst Award.” This award recognized their outstanding performance and impactful contributions to the growth, transformation, and positive influence on Africa’s agrifood systems.

GoGettaz expanded its reach this year, focusing on underrepresented Francophone regions and encouraging innovations addressing climate challenges and solutions. The competition saw increased participation and diversity among finalists, with representatives from 11 African countries.
