Kenya-based cleantech company Stima has secured undisclosed funding from early-stage investors Renew Capital. This marks Renew Capital’s 15th investment this year, underscoring its active role in supporting African startups.
Founded in 2020 by Jason Gras and Emile Fulcheri, Stima offers a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform to provide actionable insights for fleet operators. The platform focuses on optimizing operations, enhancing battery performance and lifespan, implementing predictive maintenance, and managing warranty claims within the supply chain. Additionally, Stima facilitates connections with battery financiers, creating a trusted track record and informing portfolio risks and expected investment returns.
This investment aims to bolster Stima’s mission to support the transition of approximately 15 million motorbike taxi drivers in sub-Saharan Africa to electric two-wheelers, promoting sustainable mobility solutions in the region.
