Senegal-based cloud communication startup LAfricaMobile has closed an additional USD 2.2 M to its Series A funding round. The final phase of the round was led by Bpifrance, the French state-backed investment bank, with participation from Janngo Capital, Southbridge Investments, and Ciwara Capital. The startup raised its initial Series A of USD 4.6 M in June this year.
Founded in 2014 by Malick Diouf, LAfricaMobile provides businesses with a platform to connect with their customers through a wide range of mobile technologies. These include SMS, USSD, voice messaging, WhatsApp, airtime top-ups, and text-to-speech functionalities.
The newly secured funding will enable LAfricaMobile to expand its AI-driven communication solutions and scale its operations across Africa and beyond. By offering tailored mobile communication tools, the startup supports businesses in delivering efficient, wide-reaching, and personalized customer engagement.
