In a move to promote sustainable transportation, Admiral Mobility UAE, a dubai-based distributor of commercial electric vehicles (EVs) has partnered with South African mobility management platform, GoMetro to help commercial fleet operators transition to electric vehicles (EVs) across the United Arab Emirates.
The partnership, announced today, is set to deliver a comprehensive ecosystem designed to address the unique challenges of electrifying commercial fleets while supporting the UAE’s broader sustainability goals.
Combining GoMetro’s advanced fleet management technology with Admiral Mobility’s expertise in sustainable transport, the collaboration aims to offer tailored solutions for businesses aiming to align with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) targets.
The UAE’s electric vehicle market is on a rapid growth trajectory, with government incentives and investments in infrastructure driving adoption. According to Statista, the EV market in the UAE is projected to generate $1.95 billion in revenue by 2025, with an annual growth rate of 3.78% expected through 2029.
This booming demand underscores the increasing need for comprehensive solutions that can help businesses navigate the transition to electric fleets.
Key components of the initiative include GoMetro’s flagship EV telematics system EV-CAN, real-time fleet analytics, charging infrastructure planning, and tools for optimizing vehicle performance and route planning. These services aim to reduce operational costs for companies while contributing to a greener future.
“This partnership marks a vital step forward in advancing the UAE’s sustainable transportation goals,” said Graham Bremer, General Manager of Admiral Mobility UAE. “By combining our regional expertise with GoMetro’s proven technology, we are positioned to guide fleet operators through their electric vehicle transition while improving their operations.”
Justin Coetzee, Chief Executive Officer of GoMetro, highlighted the strategic importance of the region for global fleet electrification efforts. “The GCC region represents a key market for electric fleet adoption. Our alliance with Admiral Mobility creates a complete solution for the unique demands of operating electric commercial fleets in this region,” he said.
Admiral Mobility, a division of the Admiral Corporation of America, brings decades of industry experience and a focus on sustainable mobility ecosystems to the collaboration. GoMetro, with its deep expertise in fleet optimization and electrification management, complements this approach by offering data-driven tools designed for hard-to-decarbonize sectors such as commercial transportation.
The partnership is already operational, with initial programmes set to launch across key Emirates markets in early 2025.
As the UAE continues to invest in EV infrastructure and prioritize sustainable transportation, the collaboration between GoMetro and Admiral Mobility is poised to play a pivotal role in the country’s journey toward a cleaner, greener future.
