Egypt-based CNC Maker Simplex Secures USD 13 M To Propel Expansion
Egypt-based CNC Maker Simplex Secures USD 13 M To Propel Expansion

Simplex, an Egypt-based CNC machine manufacturer, has secured USD 13 M in funding, led by Saudi Arabia’s National Industrial Development Centre.

Founded in 2013 by Ahmed Shaaban, Mohamed Mansour, and Amr Mahmoud, Simplex offers industrial solutions to regional manufacturers across various industries. The company plans to use the funds to build a state-of-the-art factory in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, dedicated to producing advanced CNC machines.

The investment comes as part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to localise advanced industries under its Vision 2030 initiative. Simplex has signed a memorandum of understanding with the National Industrial Development Centre to establish its first factory in the Kingdom. The new facility, set to cover a 20,000-square-metre site, is expected to begin operations in early 2026. This project will help Simplex expand its presence in regional and global markets and increase its CNC machine exports.

Simplex’s co-founders emphasised that the new factory will play a crucial role in enhancing Saudi Arabia’s industrial capabilities and contributing to non-oil exports. The expansion into Saudi Arabia aligns with the Kingdom’s goals of diversifying its economy and fostering advanced technological industries. The company aims to become a key player in the global CNC machine manufacturing sector and support Saudi Arabia’s position as a regional industrial hub.
