Egyptian online car marketplace Hatla2ee has been acquired by UAE-based Dubizzle Group in a deal aimed at transforming the country’s automotive sector. Although the value of the acquisition was not disclosed, the move will see Dubizzle’s advanced technology and resources integrated into Hatla2ee’s trusted platform, enhancing the buying and selling experience for millions of Egyptians.
Founded in 2016 by Samy Swellam, Hatla2ee has grown into one of Egypt’s leading platforms for new and used car sales, attracting over 2 million monthly visitors. This acquisition marks a significant expansion for Dubizzle Group, which already has a strong presence in Egypt through its general classifieds platform, dubizzle, and its real estate portal, Bayut.

With Egypt’s population of 114 million and a rapidly evolving car industry, Dubizzle sees the country as a critical part of its growth strategy.
Samy Swellam, Hatla2ee’s CEO, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, highlighting that joining forces with Dubizzle opens up new opportunities to leverage cutting-edge technology and create an even better user experience.
The acquisition comes as Egypt’s automotive sector experiences exciting growth, and with Dubizzle’s support, Hatla2ee is well-positioned to drive innovation and reshape how Egyptians buy and sell cars.
