Egyptian payment solutions startup enza has raised USD 6.75 M in seed funding, marking its first external investment. The round was co-led by Algebra Ventures and Quona Capital to support enza’s mission of digitising payments and fostering financial inclusion across Africa.
enza was founded in 2023 by Andrew Key, Hany Fekry, Hamish Houston. Its mission is to empower banks and fintechs, enza to provide comprehensive payment infrastructure, including cards, wallets, and real-time payments, tailored to local markets. The new funding will accelerate enza’s expansion across key African markets, strengthen partnerships, and enhance responsiveness to regional payment needs.
CEO Hany Fekry described the investment as a strong endorsement of enza’s market-leading services and vision to transform financial services across the continent. Algebra Ventures’ Tarek Assaad praised enza’s leadership team for their proven track record in scaling fintech businesses, positioning the company as a pan-African payments leader from the outset.
Johan Bosini of Quona Capital emphasised enza’s potential to drive financial inclusion, helping banks, fintechs, and SMEs seamlessly access digital payments.
