POZI, a Gabonese fleet management startup founded in 2020 by Loïc Kapitho and Thomas Leluc, has raised EUR 650 K (~USD 755 K) in seed funding, reportedly the first international VC-backed deal for a Gabonese tech company. The round was led by Saviu Ventures, with participation from EMSY CAPITAL and angel investor Chazai Wamba.
The raise is a milestone for Gabon’s nascent startup scene, which, like the broader Central African ecosystem, has historically attracted little venture funding.
POZI provides telematics and fleet management solutions that go beyond vehicle tracking, offering predictive analytics, performance indicators, and risk management tools.
The startup has already equipped more than 2,500 vehicles and plans to expand into Côte d’Ivoire in 2025. With this funding, POZI aims to connect 35,000 vehicles across 10 African countries by 2030, cementing its role in regional logistics digitisation.
