Ivorian Healthtech Ades Raises USD 620 K To Scale Hybrid Healthcare
Ivorian Healthtech Ades Raises USD 620 K To Scale Hybrid Healthcare

Abidjan-based healthtech startup Ades has raised CFA 350 M (~USD 620 K) in equity funding from CDC-CI Capital, the investment arm of Côte d’Ivoire’s Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations.

Founded in 2019 by a group of young doctors, Ades operates UMED, a digital platform offering online consultations, imaging services, home visits, and remote monitoring for chronic patients. The new funding will support platform upgrades, modernisation of biomedical equipment, and expansion of its fleet of medical vehicles, including ambulances and motorbikes for urban home care.

Ades has delivered more than 6,000 home-care treatments and partnered with over 50 companies for corporate health services. The deal also reflects CDC-CI Capital’s strategy of backing high-potential local startups, following its earlier $1.3m investment in fintech Djamo.

By channelling public capital into healthtech and fintech, Côte d’Ivoire is betting on technology-driven solutions to modernise key sectors and close service gaps for its population.
