Velents.ai, an Egyptian–Saudi AI startup, has raised USD 1.5 M in funding as it launches Agent.sa, the first fully integrated Arabic-speaking AI employee for enterprises across the Middle East.
Founded in 2021 by Mohamed Gaber and Abdulaziz Almuhaydib, Velents began as a smart recruitment platform before pivoting in 2023 into a full-scale enterprise AI company. The startup’s new product, Agent.sa, is designed to function like a human employee—handling calls, WhatsApp conversations, data analysis, and customer requests entirely in natural Arabic.
The funding round drew participation from angel investors, including senior executives from Google, BCG, and other global firms. Velents says Agent.sa can integrate with over 20 systems—from CRMs to payment gateways—and operate across sectors such as banking, logistics, and telecom.
With this launch, Velents aims to redefine how businesses in the Arab world work, replacing traditional software with AI “colleagues” who speak their language and enhance productivity.
