African Tech Talent Startup Savannah Acquired By Israeli Firm Commit
African Tech Talent Startup Savannah Acquired By Israeli Firm Commit

Savannah, a bootstrapped Africa-focused software talent company, has been acquired by Israeli software services firm Commit in a cash deal estimated at several million dollars, according to people familiar with the transaction.

Founded in late 2022, Savannah has grown without external funding, recruiting more than 100 experienced software developers across countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, and Kenya, and placing them with global startups such as Firefly, Aqua Security, Port, and Bright Data.

The acquisition gives Savannah access to Commit’s global platform while keeping its team and operations intact, with founder Itai Azogui and the entire staff joining Commit.

Savannah will now operate within Commit’s offshore division, which already employs hundreds of developers across Eastern Europe.
