South Africa’s Skynamo Acquired By Klipboard To Expand Sales Tech Stack

South African sales-tech startup Skynamo has been acquired by UK-based software firm Klipboard, marking a strategic consolidation in vertical SaaS for distribution-heavy industries.

Founded in 2012 by Sam Clarke, Skynamo provides a mobile-first sales operations platform for manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors, supporting nearly 1,000 businesses and processing over USD 70 M in monthly order value.

The acquisition strengthens Skynamo’s ability to integrate more deeply with ERP and business systems, while giving Klipboard a stronger foothold across Sub-Saharan Africa, the UK, and the US. Rather than a full absorption, Skynamo will continue operating as a standalone brand.
