Google Backs 15 Startups In Latest Accelerator Cohort To Shape Africa’s AI Future

Google has selected 15 AI-driven startups for Class 10 of the Google for Startups Accelerator Africa, from nearly 2,600 applicants.

Running from April 13 to June 19, 2026, the programme supports founders with mentorship, technical training, and cloud resources.

The cohort spans fintech, agritech, healthtech, mobility, and SaaS, and includes: Anda Africa (Angola), Bani, MasteryHive AI, Regxta, and Termii (Nigeria); Coamana, Duck, ReportsAI, and VunaPay (Kenya); Emaisha Pay (Uganda); Loop and Vambo AI (South Africa); Maad (Senegal); Meditect (Ivory Coast); and Safiri (Tanzania).

All participants leverage AI to tackle critical challenges while preparing for scale and follow-on funding.

Since 2018, the accelerator has backed 106 startups across 17 countries, with alumni raising USD 263 M and creating over 2,800 jobs.
