Ghanaian startups Rivia Clinics and VDL Fulfilment have secured a combined USD 350 K from the Africa Ecosystem Catalysts Facility, a USD 4 M pilot fund targeting overlooked early-stage founders.
Managed by Village Capital and backed by FMO and RVO, the facility supports startups advancing climate resilience and economic mobility across Ghana, Nigeria, and Tanzania.
Rivia, a tech-enabled primary healthcare provider, received USD 200 K while VDL Fulfilment, an e-commerce logistics platform, raised USD 150 K to expand its infrastructure and fleet.
The fund operates a locally driven model, partnering with ecosystem players like Reach for Change and Innovation Spark. These investments mark the first deployments in a broader strategy to strengthen early-stage startup pipelines.
