EmTech Ventures Fund II Wins Proparco Backing For USD 60 M Francophone Africa Fund

Morocco-based venture capital firm EmergingTech Ventures (EmTech Capital) has secured a cornerstone investment from French development finance institution Proparco through its FISEA facility for EmTech Ventures Fund II (EmTech II), a fund targeting USD 60 M with capacity to expand to USD 80 M.

Founded by Meriem Zairi Tlemçani, Abdelouahid Benlamlih, and Sidi Mohammed Zakraoui, EmTech focuses on backing early-stage technology startups across Morocco, Tunisia, Senegal, and Côte d’Ivoire.

The fund plans to invest between USD 500 K and USD 3 M in approximately 20 pre-Series A and Series A startups operating in sectors such as fintech, healthtech, agritech, cleantech, edtech, and digital services.
