Stakpak, an Egyptian-founded AI infrastructure startup, has been acquired by Vercel for an undisclosed amount, marking the cloud platform’s third acquisition in a year following its recent purchase of Ethiopian-founded Better Auth.
Founded by George Fahmy and launched in 2023, Stakpak built one of the first open-source autonomous DevOps agents, enabling developers to automate infrastructure management using AI.
Before the acquisition, the startup raised USD 500 K in pre-seed funding in early 2025, led by P1 Ventures, with participation from Digital Currency Group, 500 Global, and Instabug co-founders Moataz Soliman and Omar Gabr.
Originally built in Cairo, Egypt, Stakpak’s team will join Vercel to advance AI-powered infrastructure management while its open-source projects remain available.
