Kenya’s Sevi Secures Oxano Capital Investment To Expand B2B fintech Platform

Kenyan B2B fintech Sevi has secured an undisclosed investment from Oxano Capital to accelerate product development, move toward profitability, and support its planned expansion beyond Kenya. This follows last year’s funding from Renew Capital.

Founded in 2018 by Walter aan de Wiel and Bartel Verkruijssen, the Nairobi-based startup operates an order-now, pay-later platform that enables micro and small retailers to buy inventory on credit through existing supplier and distributor networks, while suppliers receive immediate payment.

By embedding financing directly into supply chains, Sevi helps merchants access working capital without traditional collateral and repay in instalments as goods are sold. The company aims to improve inventory access for small businesses while strengthening cash flow and sales across Kenya’s retail supply chains.
