The parent firm of Kenyan digital used-car marketplace Peach Cars has secured USD 3.7 M in debt financing from Japan Finance Corporation and Shoko Chukin Bank to expand its vehicle transaction infrastructure in Kenya.
Founded in 2020 by Kaoru Kaganoi and Zachary Petroni, the Kenya-based startup, operated by Japanese firm Cordia Directions, runs a full-stack marketplace combining a 225-point vehicle inspection system, transparent pricing, secure payments, and after-sales services.
The new funding will support the expansion of physical inspection and vehicle handover hubs, improve appraisal technology, and develop embedded auto-loan products for consumers.
Peach Cars previously raised USD 11 M in Series A funding in 2025, led by Suzuki Global Ventures. The startup aims to address fraud and limited financing in Kenya’s fragmented used-car market and eventually expand into other African markets.
