Aeon, a Nigerian cybersecurity startup building sovereign cyber defense infrastructure for Africa and the Global South, has raised USD 1 M in pre-seed funding led by Terra Industries.
Founded by Samuel Ogbonyomi, Ben Eluan, and Alex Idowu, Aeon is based in Nigeria and develops cybersecurity tools for critical industries, including financial institutions, cloud providers, and infrastructure operators.
Its product suite secures networks and data while monitoring and addressing vulnerabilities across code, cloud environments, and endpoints. Olugbenga Agboola’s Resilience17 also participated in the round alongside other investors.
The investment follows a successful pilot between Aeon and Terra, which has since led to a commercial joint venture to deploy Aeon’s technology across government and corporate operations in the Global South. The funding will support Aeon’s development as it expands its cybersecurity infrastructure.
