Ghanaian agritech startup Complete Farmer has secured a USD 2.4 M convertible loan from the International Finance Corporation (IFC), with support from the Business Investment Financing Track (BIFT) of the Global Agriculture and Food Security Program (GAFSP).
Founded in 2017 by Desmond Koney and co-founders and based in Accra, Ghana, Complete Farmer operates a digital agricultural platform connecting farmers with buyers, financial institutions, input suppliers and agricultural service providers.
The financing will help the company scale its input financing and agronomy services for farmers, while a further USD 480 K in IFC advisory support will strengthen its systems and capacity to expand farmer financing. Complete Farmer currently serves more than 72,000 farmers across Ghana and Togo and aims to support 240,000 farmers by 2030.
