Throwback: WeeTracker’s UberPitch – Gone in 90 seconds!

By  |  May 31, 2020

In a quiet and cosy pizza place in Sea Point, Cape Town, founders of a 3 months young media startup (Read WeeTracker) were excitedly arguing over shortlisting the four finalists who’d get a chance to pitch their ideas to top startup investors in South Africa.

This was a big deal, not only for the four finalists but for us as well. As founders of a 3-month-old startup, we had cracked a partnership with world’s largest ride-hailing company, Uber. We weren’t able to get past the excitement. The excitement of putting our plans into action.

There’s no telling who was more nervous, us taking a crack at this web series OR the startup founders who had just 90 seconds to pitch OR the venture capitalists who had to make a call to invest, all in the backseat of a taxi!

The series turned out amazing. Binge watch the videos below to see some African entrepreneurs and investors in action.
