Egyptian Life Science Startup Nawah Scientific Raises USD 1 Mn In Pre-Series A Funding

Egyptian life science startup Nawah Scientific has raised USD 1 Mn in a pre-series A round comprised of both debt and equity from a group of investors led by Egyptian government-backed fund Egypt Ventures. Other investors who participated include Alexandria Fund (AF), Cairo Angels, Alex Angels, Hult Alumni Angels, and several international angels.

Launched in March 2015, Nawah Scientific is an online platform that provides on-demand research, scientific and analytical services to scientists, pharmaceutical companies, and other users. To date, it has raised a total funding of USD 2 Mn and plans to close its Series A round later in 2021.
