South African Startup Acumen Software Raises Funding To Scale Platform

Acumen Software, a South African workforce, and asset management startup, has raised an undisclosed amount of money to expand its My Smart City platform. The funding round included Imvelo and Sappi’s Andzani Ventures.

Acumen Software is behind My Smart City, a platform for city residents to report service delivery issues, track reported matters, and mobilize fellow community members. Its free mobile and desktop-based platform allow citizens to report potholes, monitor power or water outages, communicate with local municipal officials, raise a petition, and much more.
