Logistics Startup Chargel Raises Funding To Streamline Operations in Senegal And Francophone Africa

Chargel, a trucking platform, announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount to jump-start its operations in Senegal. The round saw the participation of Century Oak Capital and Logos Ventures alongside prominent angel investors from Senegal, Kenya, Ghana, and Nigeria. the funds will be used to get the company’s operations off the ground and prepare the company for a seed round later this year.

Chargel brings the offline trucking operations online by matching the shippers to the suitable transporters at the right price and by reshaping the infrastructure around trucking to facilitate payments, fuel management, insurance, and other services. Its robust platform provides reliability, efficiency, and a great user experience to both the carriers and the shippers on its network.
