South African Solar Marketplace Hohm Energy Raises USD 8 M in Seed

Johannesburg-based solar energy company Hohm Energy has raised USD 8 M in its seed round led by E3 Capital and 4DX Ventures. The seed round also had participation from Breega, E4E Africa, Musha Ventures, Climate Capital Ventures, TO.org, Tekton Ventures and Sunu Capital.

Founded in 2021 by Tim Ohlsen and Emir Gluhbegovic, the startup aggregates the network of solar product suppliers & installers in South Africa and connects them to homeowners and businesses. It offers value-added services like bespoke project management- where it assesses the solar energy needs of a customer and provides customised solutions.
