3 Companies Win USD 250K at U.S.-Tanzania Tech Challenge

Three organizations—Jamii Forums, Smart Foundry Ltd., and The Launchpad Tanzania—have been announced as the winners of the U.S.-Tanzania Tech Challenge.

Through the program, Jamii Forums will receive USD 100 K, Smart Foundry Ltd. will be awarded USD 80 K, and The Launchpad Tanzania will receive USD 70 K in funding.

The U.S.-Tanzania Tech Challenge, launched in June, sought solutions to promote information integrity, enhance civic engagement, and equip individuals with the skills to navigate digital information effectively. Over 100 entries were submitted, and eight finalists were selected to present their solutions to a judging panel from the U.S. and Tanzania.
