Ghana’s Verod Capital has exited its investment in TAG West Africa, owner of Lancaster University Ghana, selling its stake to existing shareholder Transnational Academic Group.
Verod originally invested in 2017, supporting TAG’s expansion of Ghana’s first British university campus, which awards UK-accredited degrees. During Verod’s tenure, the university relocated to a larger 3,000-student campus in Accra and grew its brand in Nigeria, a key student market.
“We partnered to increase access to world-class education in Africa,” said Trish Amoah-Ntim, Verod Investment Principal.
TAG remains committed to pan-African education growth, calling Verod a “steadfast partner” in developing future leaders.
