South Africa’s Talk360 Secures USD 1.4 M Investment Led By HAVAÍC

Talk360, a global calling app founded in 2016 and led by CEO Hans Osnabrugge, has secured a USD 1.4 M secondary investment led by HAVAÍC, its lead investor since 2022. The transaction, backed by Universum Wealth, provides partial liquidity for early angel investors while increasing HAVAÍC’s ownership as the company enters its next growth phase.

Built to serve African diaspora communities, Talk360 enables low-cost, high-quality international calls and now connects 6m+ users globally each year. Since raising over USD 10 M in 2022 across multiple rounds (see here and here), the company has reached profitability, spun off its payments arm NjiaPay, and expanded beyond diaspora use cases to serve travellers and businesses following Skype-out’s shutdown.

The new capital will support product development and the rollout of Shop360, a feature allowing instant airtime and data top-ups across 180+ countries, as Talk360 positions itself as a reliable global alternative to traditional telcos.
