African payment orchestration startup NjiaPay has raised USD 2.1 M in seed funding led by European B2B SaaS investor Newion Partners to expand its payments infrastructure platform across Africa. This comes roughly a year after closing an over-subscribed USD 1 M+ pre-seed funding round.
Founded by Jonatan Allback and Roderick Simons, the company provides a payment orchestration layer that allows merchants to manage multiple payment service providers through a single API while optimising transaction routing and reducing failed payments.
The platform is already used by companies such as Talk360, Anytime Fitness, and Melon Mobile. The new capital will help NjiaPay expand its engineering and commercial teams, deepen integrations, and accelerate growth as African businesses seek tools to navigate the continent’s fragmented payments ecosystem.
