Secha Capital, a South African VC firm, has reached a second close of its USD 40 M Secha Capital Impact Fund II as it backs growth-stage businesses across key sectors.
Founded in 2017 by Nombuso Nkambule, Brendan Mullen, and Rushil Vallabh, the firm combines capital with its operator-investor model, embedding skilled professionals within portfolio companies to drive execution and growth.
The fund, which previously announced a ZAR 300 M first close in 2023, is targeting a USD 40 M final close by mid-2026.
Backers include E Squared Investments, RMB Ventures, SA SME Fund, and 27four. Fund II focuses on sectors like agriculture, energy, manufacturing, and consumer goods, with investments already in companies such as Plentify and Cultura Fresh.
